Dozen teams compete in ARM Invitational

Polson's Ashtyn Wagner and Drifter Skillicorn were the two Pirate tracksters invited to participate in the Russ Pilcher Top Ten meet in Missoula last Tuesday.

Wagner placed fifth in the 1,600 meter with a season best time of 5:37.38. Skillicorn finished ninth in the long jump going 19' 03.75" in that event.

Skillicorn showed up for his team again Saturday, taking second in the 200 meter and fourth in the 100 meter during the ARM Invitational meet in Whitefish. He placed again in the 4x100 Relay, alongside Tommy Williams, Jesse Kimball and Robert Merchant.

Polson’s Astin Brown posted first in the discus with a throw of 139-10.

For the girls, Wagner took fifth in the 800 meter and Kellyn Nelson nabbed fifth in the pole vault.

Overall, Polson Boys took sixth and Girls placed 11th in the meet.
