Ronan tops team scores at Lake County Track Meet

Both the Ronan boys and girls won the team scoring at the Lake County Track Meet on Friday, May 5, in Polson, with all Lake County schools competing.

On the boys' side, Ronan won the event with 160 team points compared to Charlo's 105 points for second and Polson's 104 points for third.

Canyon Sargent won the 100-meter run (11.72) for Mission, while Ronan's Gabe Gagnon-Rusnac placed second in both the 100-meter run (11.78) and the 200-meter run (23.86). Keaton Piedalue of Charlo won the 200-meter run with a time of 23.80.

Sargent also won the shot put with a throw of 44-3.75, while Polson's Astin Brown was second (43-8.5). Brown won the discus with a throw of 142-0, while Arlee's Jake Knoll was second with a heave of 121-5.

In the 400-meter run, Drifter Skillicorn won the event with a time of 52.57. Arlee's Charley Crawford placed second with a time of 54.36. Charlo's Hayden Hollow placed third (56.51) and won the 800-meter run (2:07.40), barely edging out Ronan's Tayen Edmo, who placed second (2:07.83)

Skillicorn also won the long jump (20-9), while Ronan's Connor Durglo was second (18-11).

Mission's Zoran LaFrombois placed first in the 1,600-meter run (4:42.91) and Ronan's Edmo was second (4:54.85). Charlo's Hayden Smith was first in the 3,200-meter run (10:48.35), while Ronan's Jacob Piapot was second (11:25.30). Ronan's Devon Big Medicine was third with a time of 11:26.91.

Ronan's Blyth Bolman won the 110-meter hurdles (18.08), while teammate Wade Qualtier won the 300-meter hurdles (44.64) and Bolman was second (45.72)

In the 4x100 relay, Ronan won the race (44.81) with the running of Wade Qualtier, Josiah Misa, Connor Durglo and Gabe Gagnon-Rusnac. Polson placed second (44.94), and Mission was third (45.22). Ronan also won the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:40.93, thanks to the running of Wade Qualtier, Gabe Gagnon-Rusnac, Connor Durglo and Josiah Misa. Charlo placed second (3:45.87), and Mission was third (3:45.88).

Arlee's Charley Crawford won the javelin (159-3), while Mission's Kellen McClure was second with a heave of 151-8.

Ronan's Kolby Finley won the high jump (5-6) and the pole vault (11-0).

Mission's Bryce Umphrey won the triple jump with a mark of 43-0. Durglo was second (42-3).

WOMEN

Ronan won the girls team scoring with 165 team points, while Charlo was second with 95 points and Polson was third with 94 points.

Polson's Michelle Dale won the 100-meter run (13.75) and Charlo's Taylea Lund was second (13.77). Lund was also second in the 200-meter run (28.37), while Arlee's Adalyn Jacobson was first in the event (28.21).

Charlo's Aida Cote won the 400-meter run (1:02.30) for a personal record, while Polson's Kellyn Nelson was second (1:05.82).

Polson's Ashtyn Wagner was first in the 800-meter run (2:31.74), while Ronan's Olvia Heiner was second (2:46.06). Wagner was also first in the 1,600-meter run (6:03.16) and her teammate Isabel Seeley was second (6.23.08).

Ronan's Olivia Heiner was first in the 3,200-meter run (12:50.56) and Polson's Adison Carlson was second (14.29.58).

Charlo won the 4x100 relay (54.53) thanks to the running of Karly Alder, Aida Cote, Shaedon Kain and Taylea Lund. Ronan was second in the event (55.43), and Arlee was third. Charlo also won the 4x400 relay (4:28.80) with the running of Taylea Lund, Aida Cote, Shaedon Kain and Leah Cahoon.

In the shot put, Ronan's Kylie Fetui won with a throw of 31-6, and Arlee's Shonlea Matt was second (30-6). Charlo's Aida Cote won the discus (99-4), while Ronan's Angie Adams was second (81-11), and teammate Lauryn Buhr was third (81-5.5)

Fetui also won the javelin (105-4) and Arlee's Adalyn Jacobson was second (99-0). Arlee's Raven Parson won the high jump (4-8) and the long jump (17-3.75). Polson's Kellyn Nelson won the pole vault (8-6), while Ronan's Leina Ulutoa won the triple jump with a personal best mark of 36-0.
