Kendall Shae Schiele, 27
Kendall Shae Schiele, 27 years old, entered into the arms of our Creator on Nov. 6, 2022. Kendall Shae was born on July 3, 1995, to Larry and Kathy Schiele, of Ronan. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving hunting, fishing, hiking and boating.
He developed a passion for horses through helping with his nephew’s equine physical therapy. At 16 he trained with Equivisions, a natural horsemanship farm in Paradise. He then graduated from Penn Foster High School in 2013 and planned to go to Parelli Natural Horsemanship to train for his career.
Shortly after graduation at 17 years old he was diagnosed with a rare aggressive form of brain tumor where the statistics for survival are very low. He started treatment at Seattle Children’s that year in June. He bravely walked through the harsh treatments for five months before being sent to Boston, Mass., to finish with radiation for another two months. He miraculously overcame the odds.
Kendall Shae went on to graduate from The Western Montana School for Equine Massage. He also became a Reiki Master, studied permaculture, heirloom horticulture, fungal biology and dog training. His heart was in horses, dogs and natural farming in which he was working toward growing medicinal mushrooms and heirloom vegetables, alongside his amazing abilities in equine massage, Reiki and other natural therapies.
He was a very strong and gifted young man with a heart of gold, who had so much yet to do. He was taken way to soon and will always be dearly missed by those who love him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Schiele, his grandfather, Edward Funk, and grandparents Martin and Elsie Schiele.
Surviving relatives include his mother, Kathy Schiele, grandmother Delores Funk, sisters Janae Cran and Kendra Schiele, along with his nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Other surviving relatives include three half siblings, Shelly Peters, Mindy Vert and Bryan Schiele.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Kendall Shae Schiele on May 28, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Deep Bay Center in the Fire House, 104 Deep Bay Dr., Lakeside.
