Hwy. 93 road crew to take holiday break

| May 25, 2023 12:00 AM

Due to the holiday weekend, Riverside Contracting crews at work on the Ronan-North project will stop work by noon Friday and return Tuesday morning.

According to the Montana Department of Transportation, drivers should expect to travel on gravel surfaces via one-lane traffic, and experience delays of approximately 15 minutes. Left turns will be prohibited in certain areas.

Last Wednesday, traffic was reduced after hours through the construction area as crews worked through the night to repair a minor leak in an irrigation canal.

This week milling operations continued on Highway 93 past the intersection with Old U.S. 93 and Third Ave. Crews continued to install a storm drain on the west side of the highway in front of the car dealerships.

The planned permanent closure of Spring Creek Road at U.S. 93 has been delayed due to wet weather.

Glover Road safety improvements

North of the Ronan-North project, MDT, in partnership with Riverside Contracting, have begun work on a safety project near Pablo on Glover Road, just west of U.S. 93. In addition, pavement preservation work is also underway and extends from just north of Ronan to the north end of Pablo, ending at the intersection of U.S. 93 with Minesinger Trail.
