Polson Seniors: Volunteer drivers needed

Due to increasing meal deliveries, we have added another route and need more volunteer drivers – one day, or a few days or all week. Routes take 45-60 minutes to deliver 8 –14 meals, depending on route. Please!

Baily Insurance offers assistance and advice with Medicare, Prescription Drug and Supplement plans Nov. 13 from 1-3 p.m. at the Senior Center.

Space is available for playing card-table board games. Gather up some friends to play. Bring your own board. A great wintry day activity. Call ahead to reserve a time and date.

Senior bowling is available at 1 p.m. Tuesdays; open group with no weekly commitment.

Activities at the Polson center, open to all, include: self-guided, video assisted exercise, sitting or standing, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; pinochle, noon-3 p.m. Thursdays; bingo, 7 p.m. Fridays ($100 payout on blackouts), with playing card bingo on the first and third Wednesdays. The pool table is open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays. Inquire at the center about bridge.

A veteran’s representative will visit the center Friday, Nov. 3, and Tuesday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m.-noon.

Meals are available for sit-down, take-out or delivery from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. weekdays; a suggested donation of $5 helps support the nutrition program. The menu is posted each week at the center, although it’s subject to change. Call before 10 a.m. for deliveries (some restrictions apply.

Upcoming main dishes include: ham loaf, Nov. 2; chicken sandwiches, Nov. 3; corn chowder, Nov. 6; sweet and sour meatballs, Nov. 7; chicken alfredo, Nov. 8; BBQ pork sandwich. Nov. 9; and ham and cheese omelet, Nov. 10.
