We will be closed Thanksgiving, Nov. 23 (Thankful), and Friday, Nov. 24 (Still Full!). Being grateful is a sign of being humble, being humble is a sign you are human.

We are still in need of drivers and wheelchairs, but not drivers of wheelchairs.

See’s Candy is now on sale – many choices. See Kaye. Supply should last until Christmas, unless you open the box.

Need a ride in Polson area for groceries, health care, visit your bank, or other necessities? Must be 65 or older and in need. Call 24 hours in advance. Round trip is $5 and available 8 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays only.

Due to increasing meal deliveries, we have added another route and need more volunteer drivers from 10:45 a.m.-noon. Routes take 45-60 minutes to deliver 8 –14 meals, depending on route. New Drivers get shorter routes.

Space is available for playing board games. Gather some friends and bring your own board. Call ahead to reserve a time and date.

Senior bowling is available at 1 p.m. Tuesdays ($13); open group with no weekly commitment.

Activities at the Polson center, open to all, include: self-guided, video-assisted exercise, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; pinochle, noon-3 p.m. Thursdays; bingo, 7 p.m. Fridays ($100 payout on blackouts), with playing card bingo on the first and third Wednesdays. The pool table is open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays. Inquire at the center about bridge.

A veteran’s representative will visit the center Tuesday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m.-noon.

Meals are available for sit-down, take-out or delivery from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. weekdays; a suggested donation of $5 helps support the nutrition program. The menu is posted each week at the center, although it’s subject to change. Call before 10 a.m. for deliveries (some restrictions apply.

Upcoming main dishes include: pigs in a blanket, Nov. 16; the birthday lunch featuring a roast turkey dinner, Nov. 17; ham with wild rice soup, Nov. 20; hot beef sandwich, Nov. 21; and chicken enchiladas, Nov. 22.
