Public hearing to consider school building projects
During its regularly scheduled meeting at 7 p.m. Dec. 4, the Polson City Commission will hold a public hearing on the proposed additions and remodeling projects at Linderman and Cherry Valley schools.
The commission will take public testimony on the projects and forward those comments to LPW Architecture and School District No. 23, as required by Montana statute.
Each school will gain over 12,000 square feet for classrooms, new music rooms and new library spaces, plus upgraded bathrooms and kitchen facilities. At Linderman, a proposed asphalt playground east of the building will take a bite out of the area currently occupied by the walking/running track and practice soccer field.
During the meeting, the public will have an opportunity to view the architectural designs and give comment.
