Polson improves to 7-2
Polson swept Browning in Northwestern A volleyball action on Friday, Sept. 29, by scores of 25-19, 25-20, 25-15 to move to 6-1 in conference play and 7-2 overall.
Mckenna Hanson led the team with 14 kills, and Hannah Simpson had seven kills.
On the service stripe, Avery Starr and Hansen each had six aces, while Starr also led the offense for the Lady Pirates, dishing out 24 assists. Both Julia Barnard and Simpson had 13 of Polson’s 58 team digs.
Ronan sweeps Libby
Kailyn Morengo had 12 digs for the Maidens as they downed Libby 25-22, 25-19, and 25-12 in Northwest A volleyball play on Saturday, Sept. 30. Ronan had 21 kills as a team, including six by McKenna Corley and four by Zailee Hewankorn.
Seattle Adams had 18 assists and two aces for the Maidens, while Hewankorn also notched three aces and six digs. Bailee Woll also had two aces.
At the net, Kylee Kelch had four blocks, and Lauryn Buhr had two.
Arlee falls to Deer Lodge
Arlee fell to Deer Lodge in Western B volleyball action on Friday, September 29, by scores of 25-13, 25-9, and 25-9. Leah Mesteth led the Scarlets with 16 assists, while Adalyn Jacobson had two blocks in the matchup.
Aaliyah Jackson also had two kills and two aces against Deer Lodge.
Whitefish downs Ronan
Ronan won the opening set but fell to Whitefish in Western A volleyball action on Thursday, Sept. 28, by scores of 26-24, 8-25, 19-25, 16-25. Lauryn Buhr’s 10 kills led the Maidens, while McKenna Corley had seven.
Seattle Adams led the offense with 25 assists while also notching 3.5 blocks. Buhr had two blocks. On defense, Kailyn Morengo had 14 digs, and Bailee Woll had eight digs.
Mission breaks out brooms against Superior
Mission improved to 5-4 on the year with a sweep of Superior in Class B volleyball action on Thursday, Sept. 28, by scores of 25-10, 25-23, 25-11. Izzy Evans led the team with 10 of its 22 kills, while Amelia Cronk has nine assists and Jada Domebo had eight.
Domebo also added seven digs to the Lady Bulldogs total of 38. Cronk also had four aces.
Scarlets fall to Anaconda
The Scarlets fell to Anaconda in three sets, 25-9, 25-13, 25-20, on Thursday, Sept. 28, in Western B volleyball action. Adalyn Jacobson led the team with five kills and five blocks, while Leah Mesteth directed the offense with 15 assists and two aces.
Jaydessa Haynes also added seven digs to Arlee’s efforts.
Mission defeats Arlee
Mission swept Arlee in three sets on Tuesday, Sept. 26, by scores of 25-15, 26-24, 25-15. The Lady Bulldogs were led by Izzy Evans and Rowan McElderry, who each had seven kills.
Arlee’s Jaydessa Haynes also had seven kills and two aces in the matchup, while Adalyn Jacobson had three blocks, and Feather Standing Rock had five assists.
Evans led Mission in three other categories, including digs (6), aces (8), and blocks (1). Jada Domebo led the team with 13 assists.
Charlo wins fifth straight
Charlo picked up a three-set sweep of Victor on Saturday, Sept. 23, by scores of 25-8, 25-12, 25-15, bolstered by 14 kills by Aida Cote and 14 assists by Karly Alder.
Shonlea Matt and Leah Cahoon each had nine digs, while Cote added nine blocks. Seeley McDonald had four aces.
Charlo improved to 6-2 on the year and has won five straight.
Lady Vikings down Alberton
After losing the first set, Charlo toppled Alberton 24-26, 25-20, 25-10, 25-15 on Friday, Sept. 22, behind eight kills and seven kills by Leah Cahoon.
Karly Alder had 17 assists, while Shonlea Matt had 15 digs. Aida Cote notched 12 kills, while Seeley McDonald and Leah Cahoon each had three blocks.
