Notice of November 7, 2023, Municipal General Nonpartisan Election, St. Ignatius Rural Fire District Levy Election, Ballot Preparation, Counting, Counting of Provisional Ballots, and County Canvass Notice is hereby given by the Lake County Election Administrator that the Municipal General Nonpartisan Election and the St. Ignatius Rural Fire District Levy Election will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, by mail ballot. Ballots will be mailed on October 18, 2023, to active status voters only. Ballots may be returned in person or by mail to the Election Office at 106 4th Ave E, Polson, MT between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm from October 19th - November 6th and 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Election Day, November 7th . One ballot issue will also be considered for the St. Ignatius Rural Fire District: Shall the St. Ignatius Rural Fire District Board be authorized to levy 6.19 mills, being approximately $27,205. 62 per year, for a period of (7) years to support all District operations? The fiscal impact on a home having a market value of $100,000 is estimated to be $8.36, $25.07 on a home having a market value of $300,000, and $50.14 on a home having a market value of $600,000 each year of the levy.
