Charlo trounces Alberton/Superior

Charlo improved to 5-3 on the year, taking down Alberton/Superior 52-12 in Western C eight-man football action on Friday, Oct. 6. Tayre Brown ran for two touchdowns and caught a scoring pass in the victory for the Vikings, their fourth straight.

Alberton/Superior got on the board first with a six-yard touchdown run, but Charlo answered back with a Tayre Brown 10-yard scoring run. Jacob Tomlin ran it in for the Vikings from one yard out to make it 16-6 in the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Alberton/Superior scored on a 29-yard run, but Charlo then ripped off 22 unanswered points before halftime. Ryan Sharbono ran the ball in from four yards out, then Brown had a two-yard touchdown run and caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from Hayden Hollow to lead 38-12 at halftime.

In the third quarter, Charlo’s Wesley Anderson scored on a fumble recovery, and then Hayden Hollow ripped off a 56-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Brown finished the game with 103 yards on nine carries, while Hollow had 78 yards on 18 carries. Hollow also went 9-for-15 passing for 142 yards. Sharbono posted seven carries for 42 yards, while Dillon Dwelle had three catches for 74 yards.
