Polson man accused of burglary, theft, drug possession
A Polson man is accused of breaking into two Polson restaurants and stealing a car from one of the businesses.
Bryce L. Morrison, 25, entered a plea of not guilty Oct. 4 in Polson District Court to two counts of burglary, one count of theft, and one count of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, all felonies.
According to court records, on July 5 and again on Aug. 12, Morrison broke into Polson Stageline Pizza and Betty’s Diner. In the July 5 incident, Morrison obtained the keys to a 2008 Chevy Impala that is used for deliveries. The owner of Stageline Pizza indicated that Morrison did not have permission to be on the property or take the Impala.
Morrison was the subject of a traffic stop while driving the Chevy Impala and was arrested. He had previously been forbidden to enter the property where the Chevy was taken.
On Aug. 12, at the same two businesses, Morrison was found sleeping in a shed on the property used to store products for the two businesses. The shed, which was closed and locked, had partially eaten food inside. Morrison was told to leave. Law enforcement located Morrison near the property of the two businesses and arrested him.
Separately, Morrison was charged with criminal possession of dangerous drugs.
Judge Molly Owen set a trial date of March 4. Morrison’s bond totals $50,000.
