Chiefs fall to Columbia Falls in final game of season
Ronan’s football season ended at home last Thursday, Oct. 19, as Western A foe Columbia Falls defeated the Chiefs 53-0.
Ronan’s record dropped to 4-5 on the year and 3-5 in conference play.
Columbia Falls jumped out to a 20-0 lead in the first quarter as Wildcat quarterback Cody Schweiket threw two of his four touchdown passes. Schweiket threw two more touchdown passes in the second quarter, along with a Wildcat touchdown run and safety en route to a 43-0 halftime lead over Ronan.
Columbia Falls got a field goal in the third quarter and a touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Columbia Falls improved to 6-2 on the year and will host rival Whitefish in the first round of the Class A State Football playoffs this week.
The Wildcats outgained the Chiefs 448 yards to 24.
