Final layer of pavement goes down on 93 North
Riverside Contracting plans to begin installing the final layer of pavement on U.S. Highway 93, north of Ronan, from 6 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Oct. 26-28.
Weather permitting, pavement will be installed on the southbound lanes first, and then crews will switch to the northbound lanes.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction through the project area. When paving operations reach the south end of the project area, near the intersection of U.S. 93 with Round Butte and Terrace Lake roads, traffic will be reduced to a single lane and directed by flaggers.
Crews also plan to continue concrete work, fencing installation and sidewalk construction along Round Butte Road and the southbound couplet – the short segment of roadway connecting First Ave. to U.S. 93.
The speed limit remains at 35 mph through the construction zone.
