Ladies’ Night Out – 4-8 p.m. Oct. 27 in downtown Polson; grab your gal pals for an evening of shopping, food, drinks and deals. Costumes encouraged. Pick up a $5 Savings Pass at participating businesses and get $5 off purchases of $25 or more.
Halloween Open House – 5-7 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Arlee Community Development Corporation; bring the kids and take photos at the Halloween booth, then come inside to see the new fall art exhibit and meet the artists. The Arlee CDC will be serving appetizers, hearty homemade soup and Halloween treats.
Pamyua – 7 p.m. Oct. 28 at Polson High School; Alaskan group showcases Inuit culture and history though music and dance. Their style derives from traditional melodies reinterpreted with contemporary vocalization and instrumentation, often described as “Inuit Soul Music.” Visit missionvalleylive.com for more information.
Pumpkin Patch Bash Trunk-or-Treat – 4-6 p.m. Oct. 28 at New Life Christian Church in Polson; family event offers free candy and fun.
Ronan Trunk-or-Treat – 4:30-8 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Ronan; business park their vehicles and offer goodies to goblins and ghouls from their trunks during this trick-or-treat extravaganza. Mission Mountain Holdings provides refreshments and gift giveaways in the Community Center, local 4-H clubs host a petting zoo and game area and the Ronan Wrestling Club offers face painting.
Trunk-or-Treat – 5-7 p.m. Oct. 31 Mission Valley Aquatics and Fitness Center in Polson; get your spook on with this free event, which also includes a photo booth. Bring new socks for the Socktober Drive for Lake County schools and nonperishable food items for the Lake Monsters' Trick-or-Eat Food Drive.
“Kiss the Ground” – 2 p.m. Nov. 2 at Showboat Stadium 6 Theater in Polson; Lake County Conservation District presents this groundbreaking film about how regenerating the world’s soils can help solve the climate crisis. Admission is free.
Youth Art Workshop – 9 a.m.-noon Nov. 3 at the Arlee Community Development Corporation; Salish artist Aspen Decker will teach the history of ledger art, and participants will make their own works of art on antique paper during the free class.
