Polson frosh stands out at Rebecca Farm run

Polson freshman Morgan Delaney announced herself to the Flathead Lake region, placing 12th at the Flathead Invitational on Sept. 1 at Rebecca Farm in Kalispell. Delaney was the second-highest finishing Class A girl at the event, running a 20:06.58.

Teammate Isabel Seeley placed 71st (22:54.26), and senior Adison Carlson was 90th (23:31.04).

The Polson boys cross country team placed 15th, and was the fourth-highest ranking Class A school. Ronan was 16th as a team, and Mission was 25th.

Polson freshman Jackson Bontadelli placed 51st (17:34.10), and sophomore David DiGiallonardo placed 60th (17:48.94). Senior Brandt Heniger rounded out the top 100 in an event with 198 runners by finishing 94th (18.38.95).

Junior Tayen Edmo was Ronan’s top finisher, placing 95th (18:43.79), and was bunched up with teammates Koda King at 99th (18:52.22) and Jacob Piapot in 101st (18:55.86).

Mission’s Harlon Leishman was 79th (18:13.39), while fellow Bulldog Sawyer Pule was 141st (19:47.87), and Hayden Smith was 153rd (20:27.01).
