Polson girls drop match to Columbia Falls

Columbia Falls' high-power offense powered past Polson 9-1 in a Northwest A girls' soccer matchup on Thursday, Sept. 7. Polson trailed 4-0 at halftime but got a goal in the 67th minute from Mady Luikart.

Polson goalkeeper Ellie Dupuis had 26 saves in the matchup.

"She made some saves that are really uncommon at this level," said Columbia Falls Head Coach Thomas Clark. "Hats off to her – that’s elite level goalkeeping."

Columbia Falls had 39 shots, including 25 on goal while Polson had seven shots and four on goal. The Wildkats also had nine corner kicks and 12 fouls compared to the Lady Pirates’ two fouls.
