Arlee moves to 4-0 with win over Mission

Arlee showed why it has so much attention statewide with a 16-0 8-man football victory over Mission on Friday, Sept. 15. The Warriors improved to 4-0 on the year while Mission lost its second straight game and fell to 2-2.

In the first quarter, Arlee took an 8-0 lead as the first touchdown was scored by Bridger Smith from a 26-yard pass from Kendall O’Neill. O’Neill ran the ball in for the two-point conversion.

The Warriors scored again in the third quarter as Kaiden Ostby caught 13-yard scoring strike from O’Neill. The Arlee quarterback then passed to Jake Knoll for the two-point conversion.

Charlo loses game to Pomeroy in overtime

Charlo played against Washington’s Pomeroy in 8-man football action on Friday, Sept. 15 for some non-league intrigue, and the battle went back and forth before the Vikings fell 42-40 in double overtime.

Pomeroy led 12-6 at halftime, but the Vikings came roaring back with 20 second-half points to knot things up at 26-26. In the first overtime, Pomeroy and Charlo each scored a touchdown and converted the two-point conversion.

In the second overtime, both teams scored a touchdown, but Charlo did not convert it’s two-point conversion for the loss.

Charlo fell to 1-3 overall.
