Ronan-North project edges nearer to completion
Cleanup, landscaping, drainage and guardrails are among the activities underway this week on the U.S. Highway 93 Ronan-North project as it edges toward completion.
According to a press release from the Montana Department of Transportation, Riverside Contracting crews will continue to work on the drainage channel on the east side of the road, across from Dairy Queen.
Topsoil placement in preparation for seeding and landscaping will continue on both sides of the highway, and guardrail installation will begin on the northbound side of U.S. 93. Cleanup of the project area and installation of streetlight foundations are also planned for this week.
Lane closures will be necessary where work is underway and traffic control will be in place. The speed limit remains at 35 mph.
Paving operations on the Ronan-North project will resume in mid-October when workers will install the final layer of pavement.
Crews are at work this week through Friday, Sept. 22, from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
When traveling through the construction zone, slow down, follow all traffic control, and watch for workers and equipment.
