Charlo cages Darby Tigers, 48-2

Charlo held Darby to 58 yards of offense en route to a 48-2 8-man football victory on Friday, Sept. 22. The Vikings scored 32 points in the first quarter and cruised from there, collecting 281 yards of total offense.

Tayre Brown got the scoring going, running the ball in from 28 yards out. Charlo QB Hayden Hollow then added to the point total on a 43-yard run. Brown scored again on an 18-yard touchdown pass from Hollow. The Viking quarterback then ran it in for a 33-yard run.

Darby notched a safety in the third, and Charlo scored a touchdown in the fourth, thanks to a 29-yard touchdown run by Brown to round out the scoring.

Charlo improved to 2-3 on the year with the win. The team passed for 52 yards and rushed for another 281. Darby, meanwhile, managed only one third-down conversion and one fourth-down conversion.

Hollow finished the game with 85 yards rushing, while Brown had 71 and Sharbono had 49. Brown also hauled in three passes for 34 yards and a touchdown.

Darby also lost a fumble and threw two interceptions.
