Stevensville defeats Ronan in Homecoming matchup

Despite a promising start for the Chiefs, Stevensville scored 14 second-half points on its way to defeating Ronan 26-10 on Friday, Sept. 22. The Chiefs, who were celebrating homecoming, lost their second-straight game, as the Yellowjackets were able to get a score in every quarter.
Stevensville got on the board in the first quarter on a three-yard touchdown run, but Ronan’s Jason Teague II notched a 31-yard field goal, and then quarterback Kolby Finley scored on a 50-yard run to give the Chiefs a 10-6 lead.
The Yellowjackets got a five-yard touchdown run before halftime for a 12-10 advantage at the break. Stevensville then notched a big 69-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and a one-yard QB keeper score in the fourth for the victory.
Stevensville had 297 yards passing and 54 yards passing.
