Mission athletes win three track events

Mission had three champions at the Good Friday Easter Bunny Meet on Friday, March 29, in Eureka. Isaac Umphrey placed first in both the men’s 100-meter (12.11) and 400-meter (54.41) run. Umphrey was also fourth in the long jump (17-6).

Rhain Gonzalez was first in the long jump with a mark of 19-0.5, sixth in the 100-meter run (12.59) and second in the javelin (125-05). Harlon Leishman was second in the 1,600-meter run (5:15.53) and fourth in the 800-meter run (2:20.20).

Kruger Piece was sixth in the shot put (31-03.5) and seventh in the discus (81-03).

On the girls’ side, Anna Cronk was third in the shot put (24-03) and fifth on the 100-meter run (15.30).
