Polson Softball no-hits Browning team

Polson didn’t allow a single hit while taking advantage of 14 walks and two hit batters in a 15-0 Northwestern A victory over Browning on Friday, April 5. The win improved Polson to 2-0 on the year.

The Lady Pirates’ entire order came to the plate in the first inning, as Polson scored seven runs. They followed that up with another seven-run rally in the bottom of the second. In the third inning, Sierra Perez got on base from a walk, stole second, advanced to third on a wild pitch, and scored on a fielding error that kicked in the 15-run rule and ended the game.

Samantha Rensvold pitched three innings for Polson, striking out seven. Perez had two hits at the plate; Mckenna Hansen notched a double and an RBI; and Rensvold helped her own cause with a hit and an RBI.

Carli Maley also drove in a run for the Lady Pirates.

MAC topples Troy

Mission-Arlee-Charlo picked up their first win of the season with a 10-4 victory over Troy on Friday, April 5. The team made the most of four hits and 12 walks in the victory while Izzy Evans put up another great performance on the mound.

Evans went the distance with 10 strikeouts while walking just one. Troy led 2-0 after three innings but MAC exploded for four runs in the top of the fourth. Troy pulled within 4-3 with a run in the fifth, but MAC responded again with another four in the sixth and two in the seventh.

GG Hawk, Maia Christopher, Kason Page, and Madison Incashola each had hits in the contest, while Christopher had a double. Hawk, Evans, McDonald and Incashola each had an RBI in the matchup.
