A Lake County man was sentenced in Polson District Court April 10 to the Montana State Prison for 60 years, with 20 years suspended for sexual assault of a minor.

Nathan Winter Plemmons, 39, entered the plea as part of an agreement reached earlier that dismisses 11 other charges of a similar nature.

According to court records, on June 9, 2022, a detective with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into Plemmons after receiving an anonymous tip of possible child pornography. Some of the allegations against Plemmons are not appropriate for public dissemination.

Lake County Attorney James Lapotka says the plea agreement calls for Plemmons to be sentenced to the Montana State Prison for 60 years with 20 years suspended.

Judge Molly Owen gave Plemmons credit for having served 645 days in jail and designated him as a tier-two sex offender.
