Durglo, Brown winners at Iceberg Invite

Ronan and Polson each had event winners at the Iceberg Invite on Saturday, April 20, at Columbia Falls. Ashtin Brown won the shot put for Polson with a mark of 54-4. Ronan’s Connor Durglo won the triple jump with a mark of 42.-4.75.

Brown also took third in the discus (137-0), while Durglo took third in the long jump with 19-10.

Ronan’s Devon Bigmedicine was second in the 3,200 (10:24.89) while teammate Jacob Piapot was third (10:41.52). Piapot was also third in the 1,600 (4:42.88).

In the 300-meter hurdles, Jhett McDonald was third for Ronan (44.96) while teammate Blyth Bolman was fourth (45.60)

In the 4x100 relay Polson was fourth with a time of 46.43 and Ronan was third in the 4x400 (3:46.50).

On the girls’ side, Polson’s Amelia Stene was second in the long jump (15-7) and fourth in the 200-meter run (28.10) and fourth in the 100-meter hurdles (18.12). Polson was also third in the 4x400 relay (4:33.09)

Polson’s Morgan Delaney was third in the 800 (2:31.90) while Ronan’s Zailee Hewankorn was third in the shot put (33-2)

Sharbono second at Seeley-Swan Invite

Ryan Sharbono was second in the discus (148-11) and teammate Aida Cote was third (107-5.5) as Charlo had several placers at the Seeley-Swan Invite on Saturday, April 20, in Missoula.

Hayden Hollow was fourth in the 800-meter run (2:03.48) for Charlo, while Hayden Smith was fourth in the 1,600-meter run (4:43.94) and sixth in the 3,200-meter run (10:50.08).

Charlo’s Jacob Tomlin was fourth in the shot put (45-05) while Arlee’s Jake Knoll was fifth (45-2).

On the girls’ side, Arlee’s Anola Naugle was fourth in the 800-meter run (2:40.39).

Polson, Charlo shine at Twilight

Lake County had two winners at the Twilight Meet in Corvallis on Thursday, April 18. Charlo’s Hayden Hollow won the 800-meter run (2:04.75), while Polson’s Jackson Bontadelli won the 3,200-meter run (10:41.83).

Polson’s Tommy Williams took third in the 100-meter run (11.65), while Charlo’s Hayden Smith took second in the 800-meter run (2:06.81). In the shot put, Polson’s Ashtin Brown took third (51-10).

On the girls’ side, Polson’s Amelia Stene was second in the 100-meter run (13.10) and Charlo’s Aida Cote was second in the 800 (2:32.27) and second in the discus (101-03).

Polson’s Morgan Delaney was third in the 1,600-meter run (5:24.34) while teammate Kellyn Nelson placed second in the pole vault (10-0).

In the 800-meter run, Polson’s Adison Carlson placed fourth (2:34.90).

The Polson boys took sixth as a team, while the girls took sixth as well. The Charlo boys and girls each placed seventh.

Umphrey wins at Thompson Falls Invite

Isaac Umphrey was a top finisher for the Mission Bulldogs at the Thompson Falls Invite on Tuesday, April 16. Umphrey finished first in the 400 (54.65) while also placing fourth in the 100-meter run (12.19).

Arlee’s Trevor VanMaanen was third in the 1,600 (12:21.72), while teammate Matthew Johnson was third in the high jump (5-06). Two Eagles’ Jabez Madplume was third in the long jump (18-8.5).

On the girls’ side, Mission’s Cora Matt was second in the shot put (74-05) while Arlee’s Anola Naughle was second in the 300-hurdles (56.92) and third in the 400-meter run (1:08.19).

The Arlee boys finished sixth in the meet, and the girls finished eighth. Mission’s girls finished ninth, and the boys finished eighth.
