Summer Reading Block Party – 5-8 p.m. Aug. 15 at North Lake County Library in Polson; celebrate the end of Summer Reading with music by Achilles Maroney free ice cream, hot dogs, food vendors, games, and activities.

Cornhole for a Cause Tournament – 1 p.m. Aug. 17 at Glacier Brewing; register for the Families First event at www.familiesfirstmt.org/cornhole-tournament.html and get ready to aim and toss.

The Day of Hope – 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 17 on Third Avenue in downtown Polson; Tribal Health, Tribal Education, Polson Fire and Police, local medical providers, nonprofits and churches team up to provide free backpacks, school and household supplies and food during this annual pre-school event. Shakespeare in the Parks: “Hamlet” – 6-8 p.m. Aug. 20 at Boettcher Park in Polson; the Port Polson Players supply pre-show music at 5 p.m. and concessions are available from 4-9 p.m. The audience members should bring their own seating to the free performance by the traveling troupe from Montana State University.

Shakespeare in the Parks: “A Winter’s Tale” – 6 p.m. Aug. 22 at Palmer Park east of Charlo on Hwy. 212; a jealous king accuses his wife of infidelity and exiles his daughter to Bohemia, where she is raised by shepherds and falls in love with the Bohemian king’s son in one of Shakespeare’s lighter plays. "Talk the Talk: Then and Now – Student Photographs 2001-2024" – on display through Aug. 30 at the Three Woodcocks Gallery at Salish Kootenai College; exhibit celebrates the photography of Two Eagle River and SKC students, created under the tutelage of master photographer David Spear.

Rock the Dock Series – 7 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays at KwaTaqNuk Resort in Polson; performers include Redhawk, Aug. 15, and Rob Quist, Aug. 16.
