Reksten: A leader who will fight for Lake County

| August 22, 2024 12:00 AM

The statement that Linda Reksten is a “rubberstamp” for the Republican Party (Leader, Aug. 15) is patently false.

Linda is diligent at researching every issue. She listens to differing opinions, reads as much information as she can find, attends numerous meetings, and then does her best to make a decision that most benefits the people in her district.

Linda’s long career in education as a teacher and administrator gives her valuable insight into the workings of our public education system. Her focus has always been on providing a quality education for all children. During the past legislative session she sponsored and helped pass bills improving educational opportunities for Montana students, increasing state funding for building improvements and maintenance, and emphasizing student proficiency in subject matter instead of hours attended at school.

She supported bills establishing pubic and state charter schools. Linda is truly an advocate for all Montana students.

Linda also believes in protecting the lives of unborn children, supporting law enforcement, and protecting our 2nd amendment rights. She is pro-jobs and pro-business. She supported bills for income-tax and property-tax reduction and election security.

Linda fights for what she believes is right even if those in her own party disagree with her. She is not afraid of innovation in problem solving. Linda weighs all sides of an issue and votes her conscience.

You will not find anyone who works harder for the citizens of Lake County and Montana than Linda Reksten.

For a conservative with integrity who does her utmost to serve the best interests of the citizens of Lake County join us in voting for Linda Reksten for HD13.
