Dawson DuMont named to All-State

Four Mission Valley Mariners players received season accolades after the conclusion of the State A American Legion season for their performance in 2024. Dawson DuMont was named All-State; Cole Wadsworth was named All-West District; and Cody Haggard and Landon Shoemake were honorable mentions.
DuMont hit .470 this season with 13 home runs, 13 doubles, three triples and 64 RBIs. On the mound, DuMont was 5-1 with 70 strikeouts and a 0.86 ERA.
Haggard hit .350 this season, with 12 doubles, a triple, a home run and 36 RBI. Shoemake hit .284 with four home runs, five doubles, two triples, and 25 RBI. While pitching, Shoemake was 4-2 with 36 strikeouts and a 3.52 ERA.
