Polson, Ronan golfers tie for fourth at Ronan invite
The Polson boys and girls golf teams placed fourth at the 2024 Mission Mountain Invite in Ronan on Thursday, Aug. 22. The Ronan boys also placed fourth at their home meet.
Bigfork's Keni Wade won the event for the girls, scoring an 82, while Kila Cannon was the top-scoring Mission Valley athlete, carding a 103 and placing 10th.
On the boys’ side, Corvallis' Brady Powell placed first, and Polson's Max Milton scored a 70.
Dillon won the team girls' scoring with a team tally of 363, while Bigfork had 424, Whitefish notched 458, and Polson tallied 476. The Northwest A Conference occupied four of the top six spots in the tournament.
Ronan's Hanna Lytton was 11th with a 106, followed by teammate Emma Smith with a 108. Polson's Johanna Bieber was 15th with a 110.
On the boys’ side, Columbia Falls was second in team scoring with a 317 and Dillon was third with a 333 while Polson came in tied for fourth with Ronan with a score of 338.
Ronan's Oliver Rowe was fifth with a 75, while Columbia Falls' Winslow Peters was fourth with a 74, and fellow Wildcat Will Pickard was sixth. Carson Emerson was tied for 16 for Polson with an 85, while fellow Pirate was tied for 20th with an 86. Ronan's Cooper Clary was tied for 20th as well, with the same score.
