Polson Schools off to late start due to construction
Most Polson students will begin the 2024-25 school year on Sept. 12, according to Polson High School Principal Andy Fors, with the exception of PHS sophomores, juniors, and seniors who begin Sept. 13.
Freshman will come to school Sept. 12 for a day of orientation, and younger kids head to school that day too.
The reason for the late start is that it will take construction workers and custodial staff some time to get the new classrooms at Linderman and Cherry Valley up and ready for little feet.
The calendar for 2024-25 received board approval last spring, Fors said. The administration and staff have added minutes to each school day and cut the length of breaks and early outs so pupils will get out of school on June 4.
