Maidens coming off two state titles
Ronan is coming off its second-straight state title and is bringing back two state champions and one state placer for the 2024 campaign.
“The Maidens had an amazing season last year packed with ups and downs,” said Ronan Head Coach Cameron Neiss. “My expectations this year are the same: improve every day by showing up and working hard.”
State champs River Cote and Tirza Twoteeth return for another campaign, while Leona Dodson-Howe placed third at state last year, pinning two AA opponents along the way.
Both Cote and Twoteeth dominated the entire year. Cote only gave up two points all year and pinned all of her opponents. Twoteeth pinned every opponent except one on her way to defending and winning her second state title.
“I expect everyone to do their best, and doing well for one girl will look different from another depending on their goals,” Neiss said. “So far, they’re a great group of girls.”
