Carl Wall, 85

Carl “Jay” Wall, age 85, of Ronan passed away Jan. 30, 2024.

He was born March 25, 1938, right across from Flathead Lake in Polson to Lyle and Dorothy (Calta) Wall. In fact, his mom had a hard time keeping him out of the lake. When he was a toddler, he was always sneaking off and was found wading in the lake.

Jay attended Polson grade school and graduated from Polson High School in 1957. He served two years in the National Guard and four years in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Bonn Home Richard CVA-31. He played Santa Clause for 50 years around the Lake County area.

Jay is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ronan.

Jay is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; his sisters, Joyce and Laura; and his wife, Evonne, of the home in Ronan.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Donna.
