Mission-Charlo Girls claim third, fourth places at Divisionals
Mission-Charlo’s Aubrey Sharbono improved her tournament record to 23-8 with a third-place finish at 145 pounds at the Western B/C Divisional Wrestling Tournament in Shelby. Sharbono pinned her first opponent in 38 seconds and defeated Arlee’s Nizhoni Haynes with a pin in the third-place match.
Agnes Fleischhauer was fourth at 138 pounds, notching a pin in the consolation semifinals.
Meadow Ragen also placed fourth at 165 pounds, notching two pins at the tournament.
At 114 pounds, Mission-Charlo’s Brayden Hall was seventh, winning via a forfeit over Manhattan’s Haidyn Steele in the final match.
Arlee’s Malia Standing Rock was seventh at 126 pounds, pinning two, including one in the seventh-place match over Deer Lodge’s Clara Graveley.
Nizhoni Haynes was fourth at 145 pounds, notching one pin in her bracket.
On the boys’ side, Mission/Charlo’s Kai O’Brien placed seventh, notching three pins to move into the seventh-place match, and claiming his fourth fall of the tournament against Cascade’s Peyton Johnson for his final podium spot.
