A Boys: Ronan, Polson lose to Conference powerhouses Browning and Bigfork

Browning defeats Ronan
Browning scored 32 points in the second quarter en route to a 77-54 Northwest A Conference victory over Ronan on Saturday, Feb. 3.
After one quarter, Browning led 17-10 and then outscored Ronan by 16 points in the second quarter for a 49-26 lead.
Ted Coffman led the Maidens with 15 pounds, while Kolby Finley and Laurance Lozeau added eight points apiece.
Ronan fell to 7-3 in conference play and 10-6 overall.

Loggers eke past Polson
Libby dominated the second quarter and Polson dominated the third, but the Loggers came away with a 42-41 Northwest A Conference victory on Saturday, Feb. 3.
The Loggers went on a 19-8 run before halftime, taking a 27-17 lead at the break. The Pirates came out in the third quarter and went on a 15-4 run to take the 32-31 lead. The game then went down to the wire in the fourth.
Anthony Lichtenberg led Polson with 16 points, while Cason Graham had 11 points.
Polson fell to 1-9 in conference play and 2-13 overall.

Ronan falls to Whitefish
Whitefish made their move before halftime, outscoring Ronan 24-12 in the second quarter on its way to a 71-56 Northwest A Conference victory on Thursday, Feb. 1.
Ronan led 16-11 after one quarter but was outscored by 12 in the second and trailed 35-28 at halftime. Whitefish expanded its lead by two points in the third and by six points in the fourth.
Kolby Finley led the Chiefs in scoring with 10 points, while Laurance Lozeau and Josiah Misa added nine.

Bigfork defeats Pirates
Polson hung with Bigfork in the first half, but a 14-8 run by the Vikings in the third quarter was a key difference in the Pirates' 61-41 loss in Northwest A Conference action on Tuesday, Jan. 30.
After opening up a five-point lead in the first quarter, Bigfork increased their advantage to 12, with it being 33-21 at halftime.
Cason Graham led Polson with 12 points, while Brock Henriksen and Jesse Vail scored nine.
