Class B Boys: Arlee finishes regular season with win over Darby

Arlee scored at least 20 points in each of the first three quarters to defeat Darby 79-40 Saturday, and finished the regular season campaign in the Western 6B with a record of 7-2.

That mark earned the Warriors the No. 2 seed from the league in districts.

Arlee led 48-22 at halftime and came out of the break with a 20-10 run on their way to 79 points. Ben Harlow-Old Person led the Warriors with 17 points, while Ethan Fiddler and Jace Arca had 11 points.

Mission falls to Superior and Plains

Lex LaFrombois dropped 24 points, but Mission fell 66-46 in Western 7B play on Friday, Feb. 9, on the road.

Superior trailed 26-23 at halftime but exploded for 26 points in the third quarter for the victory.

Vinny Shepard added nine points to Mission’s point total. Mission fell to 2-8 in league play and 2-16 overall.

The Bulldogs also lost to Plains 60-53 on Saturday, despite taking the lead in the second quarter.

Warriors beat back Copperheads

Arlee proved to be a powerhouse in the Western 6B, downing Anaconda 55-47 on Thursday, Feb. 8.

A close game that had the Warriors leading 25-21 at halftime tightened up in the third quarter as the Copperheads pulled to within 37-35.

Arlee outscored Anaconda by six points in the fourth quarter to pull away for the victory. Ben Harlow Old-Person led the Warriors with 20 points, while Ethan Fiddler added 17 points. Jake Knoll also added eight points.

Eureka defeats Mission

Eureka scored 35 points in the first quarter on their way to a 91-38 Western 7B victory over Mission on Tuesday, Feb. 6.

Lex LaFrombois scored 13 points for the Mission Bulldogs, while Vinny Shepard had 12. Landon Walks Over Ice was the third Mission player in double digits with 11 points.
