Alvin Frank Lee (Joe), 85, of Polson, passed away Feb. 8 at his home surrounded by his son, Brad Lee, wife, Dolores, and stepdaughters, Nancy Wallace and Susan Lambert.

He was born on June 29, 1938, at his parent’s dairy farm home in Lonepine Valley. As a youngster he assisted with daily chores on their farm.

His dad’s cabin on Flathead Lake was a getaway where they fished and boated. He hunted too.

His many jobs were painting heavy equipment and construction on I-90 from Saltese to Look Out Pass, Libby Dam Road to Eureka, and many places in the west from Oregon to New Mexico. He logged in Lincoln, Mont., and worked for Lake County Landfill for 23 years, retiring in 2000.

His interests were motorcycling, baseball, fishing, hunting with his son, target practicing, his many pets, camping, and racing C-stock with Denny Dumont, number 318.

In September 1958, he married Barbara Faye Anders. She preceded him in death in 1999. In December 2002, he married Dolores Adams of Lonepine.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores, son Brad of Pablo, granddaughter Tiffany Lee, two stepdaughters, Nancy Wallace and Susan Lambert, and stepson Monte Lambert of Florida. Also, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three nieces, Laura (Bruce), Cheryl (Todd) Nelson, and Lisa (Dan) Moore; grand nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law Dale Adams of Lonepine and Larry Adam, of Berrien Springs, Mich., and sister-in-law Lynn (Ralph) Seland, of Red Deer, Alberta.

At Alvin’s request, a private graveside service will be held in celebration of his life. Messages of condolences may be shared with the family online at www.lakefuneralhomeandcremation.com.
