Joanne Blood, 71
Joanne Blood, age 71, passed away peacefully on Feb. 8, 2024, due to long-term health issues. She was born April 4, 1952, to Mary and Gerald Hall in Ronan. She married her husband, Bill Blood, of 53 years, on Sept. 22, 1969.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Blood, her father and mother, sisters Maribell and Geraldine, and brother Garry.
Joanne is survived by her husband, Bill Blood; her daughter and son-in-law, Barbie and Steve Larsh; grandchildren Jessica Knight and Nathan Larsh, and two great-grandsons. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Karen Hall, and her many nieces and nephews. All of these, she loved and touched deeply.
Joanne was active in the community by serving as a Post 106 Ladies Axillary member for over 30 years, assisting with the Arlee Summer Farmers Market, and sewing hundreds of receiving blankets to donate to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Polson for homeless single mothers.
Joanne was best described as a mother hen to all because she loved to love on people. She loved her family immensely and valued her many true friendships. She was a cherished friend to many. Joanne had a kind, generous heart, a quick sense of humor, and a witty personality.
Joanne’s favorite pastimes were crafts of all kinds, sewing, woodworking with her husband, working in her flower gardens, and tending to furry or feathered critters.

Celebration of life will take place on May 18 at the Rugged Horizon, 62143 Blood Ranch Lane, St. Ignatius.
