Both Ronan wrestling teams ranked highly

The Ronan Girls Wrestling Team is ranked No. 2 in the state for all classes, including two players ranked No. 1.

At 100 pounds, River Cote is ranked No. 1, while Tirza TwoTeeth is No. 1 at 235 pounds. Ronan also has two players ranked at 126 pounds, with Brynn Courville coming in at No. 2 and Katie Dolence ranked No. 5.

According to the most recent rankings released before Christmas break, the Ronan Boys Wrestling Team is the third-ranked team in the entire state of Montana for Class A.

Ronan has three wrestlers ranked No. 1 in the state: Ian Dillard at 103 pounds, Ridge Cote at 120 pounds, and Landon Bishop at 170 pounds.

Also ranked is Lee Cheff at No. 5 for 126 points, Koda King at No. 3 at 152 pounds, Tristan Fisher at No. 3 for 182 pounds, and Jackson Davis at No. 5 as a heavyweight.

Ronan has two wrestlers ranked at 145 pounds, with Fortino Silva at No. 2 for 145 pounds and Wil James Courville at No. 4.

Polson has one wrestler ranked, Ryley Knutson, at 120 pounds.

    Ronan’s Katie Dolence placed first in the 126-pound bracket at last month's Owen Invitational, notching three pins, and is ranked No. 5 in the state. (Bob Gunderson photo)
