Exceptions are made for abortions
I was criticized recently (Dec. 7, Leader) for my opinion on the birth-control pill. That’s okay. I welcome a good debate, unlike liberals that think only their opinions matter.
I in no way have changed my opinion. For protection against unwanted pregnancies, take the pill.
Liberals always come out with fear mongering. Oh, what about rape, incest, and poor health. You know, as I do, that in any of these cases, exceptions are made. It’s called compassion. But if the lie is put out there enough times, people will believe and vote for legal abortion.
Times changed. Sex is used as dessert after a date. Question: Do we suggest our daughters get on the pill? We don’t want to appear that we want them to have casual sex, but being realists we know it’s a possibility, so to protect them from unwanted pregnancies, they go on the pill.
Everyone can afford the pill and if a partner is dictating they can’t take it, well I’d say the control you so desire over your own body is lost.
There was no judgment in my letter (Nov. 30, Leader). Just an opinion. But if you want to stop abortion, take the pill.
