Singers invited to join Choral Society practices
Singers are warming up their vocal chords for the Mission Valley Choral Society, which begins practicing for its spring concerts Thursday, Jan. 25, at the Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall in Polson.
Auditions are not required for the 35-plus voice community choir, directed by Cathy Gillhouse, which practices from 7-9 p.m. Thursdays for two spring concerts scheduled for April 20-21.
Gillhouse has selected a 10-piece program that includes classical, contemporary, sacred, spiritual, gospel, barbershop and American folk songs.
The choir, which has existed since the 1960s, brings a diverse group together from all corners of Lake County who share a love of singing.
