Class B Girls: Mission wins seventh straight

Mission won its seventh straight game, caging the Superior Bobcats for a 57-29 Western 7B victory on Friday, Jan. 19. The Lady Bulldogs used a big 23-9 run and led 37-18 at halftime.

Kieran Incashola and Kason Page led Mission with 14 points apiece, while Ellanah Flat Lip had 13 points.

Superior was held to single digits in every single quarter and only scored 11 points in the entire second half. Seven different Mission players put up points in the league game.

Mission improved to 3-0 in league play and 8-2 overall.

 Arlee falls to Darby

A slow start by Arlee hindered them in a 42-24 Western 6B loss to Darby on Saturday, Jan. 20, at home. Adalyn Jacobson led the Scarlets with 12 points, while Jaydessa Haynes added eight.

Darby led 23-10 at halftime, and Arlee couldn’t break an evenly scored second half.

Arlee fell to 2-8 on the year and 0-2 in league play.

Arlee drops matchup against Anaconda

Anaconda had two 20-plus point quarters in a 79-11 Western 6B defeat over Arlee on Friday, Jan. 19. The Copperheads led 45-8 at halftime.

Adalynn Jacobson led the Scarlets with four points.

Mission stables Plains

The Mission defense showed up big against Plains, holding the Trotters to single-digit point totals in every quarter in a 61-24 Western 7B victory on Thursday, Jan. 18, at Plains. The Lady Bulldog offense was incredibly balanced, with nine different players scoring.

Mission led 11-8 after the first quarter and then went on a 16-4 run in the second stanza for a 27-12 halftime lead. The Lady Bulldogs went on an even bigger surge in the third quarter with a 19-3 run to put the game well in hand.

Izzy Evans led the team with 14 points, while Cora Matt had 11. Madison Incashola added seven.
