A Lake County man entered a plea of guilty in Polson District Court Jan. 17 to sexual assault involving a minor. Nathan Winter Plemmons, 39, entered the plea as part of an agreement that dismisses other charges of a similar nature.

According to court records, on June 9, 2022, a detective with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into Plemmons after receiving an anonymous tip of possible child pornography. Some of the allegations against him are not appropriate for public dissemination.

Lake County Attorney James Lapotka says the plea agreement calls for Plemmons to be sentenced to the Montana State Prison for 60 years with 20 years suspended.

Judge Molly Owen set sentencing for April 10, pending the outcome of a psycho-sexual evaluation. He remains incarcerated in the Lake County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
