Boys: Pirates fall to Columbia Falls
Polson fell to 0-4 in Northwest A Conference play with a 61-41 loss to Columbia Falls on Saturday, Jan. 20, in the Pirates’ home gym. Anthony Lichtenberg led the Pirates with 14 points, while Cason Graham had eight points.
Columbia Falls led 36-17 at halftime, and both teams played evenly in the second half.
The loss dropped Polson to 1-10 on the year.

Girls: Bigfork powerhouse bests Ronan
Bigfork had a big second quarter en route to a 64-36 Northwest A Conference victory over Ronan on Saturday, Jan. 20. Maddy Illig led the Maidens with 11 points, while Kailyn Morengo had eight.
Bigfork led 12-11 after one quarter and went on a 24-7 run in the second quarter for a 36-18 halftime lead.
Seven different Ronan players scored in the game. The Maidens fell to 3-7 overall and 1-3 in conference play. Bigfork improved to 10-1 overall and 5-0 in conference play.

C-Falls defeats Polson
Columbia Falls picked up a 64-36 Northwest A Conference victory over the Lady Pirates on Saturday, Jan. 20. A key 20-8 run by the WildKats in the third quarter allowed them to take control of the game.
Samantha Rensvold led Polson with 12 points, while three players – Rylee Taylor-Jefferson, Aleysia Black, and Natalie Adams – scored five points.
Columbia Falls led 29-20 before pulling away in the second half, largely scoring two-pointers from under the basket.
Polson fell to 5-6 on the season and 2-3 in conference play. Columbia Falls improved to 3-6 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
