Polson swimmers boast full podium in Kalispell
Polson Boys and Girls Swimming Teams had several placers at the Kalispell High School Brave Pack Meet on Saturday, Jan. 20.
Teague McElwee was first in the Boys 100-Yard Freestyle (50.48), while August Hertz was second for Polson (52.45). Hertz was first in the Boys 500-Yard Freestyle (5:36.75), and teammate Lachlan Sloan was second in the same event (5:59.09). McElwee was second in the Boys 100-Yard Backstroke (1:01.20).
In the Girls 50-Yard Freestyle, Amelia Stene was second (27.30, and in the Boys 50-Yard Freestyle, Polson’s Lachlan Sloan was fourth (25.91). Stene was also third in the Girls 100-Yard Butterfly (1:16.84).
Polson’s Hayden Ricks was second in the Boys 100-Yard Butterfly (1:12.54) and Sawyer Truman was fourth in the Boys 100-Yard Breaststroke (1:18.66).
In the Girls 200 Yard Medley Relay, Polson placed fourth (2:30.66). In the Boys 200 Yard Medley Relay, Polson was sixth (2:18.68).
In the Girls 200-Yard Freestyle Relay, the Lady Pirates were fourth (2:12.96). The Polson boys were second in the Boys 200-Yard Freestyle Relay (1:37.20) and also second in the Boys 400-Yard Freestyle Relay (3:34.37).
In the Girls 200-Yard Intermediate, Polson’s Anastasia Hertz was third (2:59.72), and teammate Adi Montgomery was fifth (3:04.37). Hertz was also fourth in the Girls 100-Yard Butterfly (1:31.11). Montgomery was fourth in the Girls 100-Yard Freestyle (1:10.55).
