We have over 150 paid members in this, the last month of our fiscal year.

This is also the month that we have nominations for officers and two open positions on the board. Contact a board member for more information please!

We need fresh faces on the board or serving as officers. Officers are elected yearly and board members serve three-year terms. The Board meets on the second Friday of each month at 10:30. Meetings are usually adjourned at or around lunchtime.

No experience is necessary to serve on the board. We also need members willing to serve on the nomination committee that is now being formed. Ask someone you know to serve on the board or committees.

We are continuing our search for a full or part-time cook and/or nutrition director. Apply in person. Wages based on experience and range of knowledge in food service.

Activities at the Polson center, open to all, include: wood carving for beginners, 1 p.m. Wednesday and Friday, join any week; self-guided, video-assisted exercise, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, sitting or standing; bingo, 6:30 p.m. Fridays ($100 blackout), with playing card bingo on the first and third Wednesdays; pinochle, 12:30-3 p.m. Thursdays (ee always have a chair reserved for you, and a coach if you want one); Wednesday is game day – bring a game and a group of friends from 1-3 p.m.

The pool table is open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays. Inquire at the center about bridge.

A veteran’s representative visits the center on the first Friday and third Tuesday of each month.

Meals are available for sit-down, take-out or delivery from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. weekdays; a suggested donation of $5 helps support the nutrition program. The menu is posted each week at the center, although it’s subject to change. Call before 10 a.m. for grab-n-go.

Upcoming main dishes include: pork tips on pasta, July 11; hot turkey hero sandwiches, July 12; beef vegetable soup, July 15; teriyaki chicken, July 16; salad bar, July 17; meat loaf, July 18; biscuits and gravy with sausage links, July 19.

The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays at 504 Third Ave. E. For more information, call 406-883-4735, email polsonseniorcenter@gmail.com or visit us on Facebook.
