Polson had three players named to the All-State softball team, while Ronan had one player earn the same honors. In all, 13 different Lake County athletes earned all-conference or all-state honors for their play this year.

Mckenna Hanson, Carli Maley and Samantha Rensvold earned all-state honors after helping lead Polson to third place this season at the state tournament. Hanson and Maley each had 11 home runs this season, while Rensvold served as one of the main pitching threats for the Lady Pirates.

Olivia Jore, Avery Starr and Liz Cunningham earned second-team All-Conference honors, while Kailey Smith was awarded an honorable mention. Jore finished with 11 home runs on the season.

In the last six years under Polson head coach Jamie Hanson, the Lady Pirates have finished third twice, second once, and were state champs in 2021.

Ronan’s main pitcher and dangerous hitter Nikki Kendall earned All-State honors after a standout year. Her teammates, Nevaeh Perez, Kaydnce Santos, Ally Luedtke and Kailyn Marengo, earned second-team all-conference honors. Mira Corum was an honorable mention entry as well.

Ronan finished the season 19-9 and made the MHSA State Class A Softball Tournament.

MIssion-Arlee-Charlo has two named to All-State team

While Mission-Arlee-Charlo fell short of the state tournament after making the big dance the previous three years and finishing second, it still had two players named to the Class B-C All-State team and two more named to the Western B-C All-Conference team.

Izzy Evans, a key player in MAC’s run to the past three state championship games, was named to the all-state team, while GG Hawk earned all-state honors as a freshman.

Sophomore Alecia Steele was named to the Western B-C All-Conference First Team after being a threatening presence at the plate, and Maia Christopher earned second-team honors.

Mission-Arlee-Charlo finished 17-6-1 on the season this year.
