Diane Dibble, 74
Diane Maughan Dibble, daughter of Rex and Julia Smith Maughan, was called home to her Heavenly Father Tuesday, May 28, 2024, in Ronan. Diane was born Oct. 17, 1949, and was the third eldest of 14 children.
Diane was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She grew up in Round Butte playing in the coulees with her sisters. She helped take care of her younger siblings and always called herself their second mother. She attended school in Round Butte and graduated high school in Ronan.
Diane married Alan Dibble in 1969 after he served in the Vietnam War. They had seven children. They lived in Utah and Washington until they moved back to Ronan to retire.
Diane was an avid seamstress making many beautiful quilts. Give her an idea of something and she would make up her own pattern. She made many crocheted items to give to those she loved or felt inspired to give.
Diane was preceded in death by her son, Richard Blaine; her husband, Alan F. Dibble; her parents, Rex and Julia Maughan; and her sisters, Shiela, Myrna and Sharon.
Diane is survived by her children; Clark, Jennifer (Dennis), Michael (Melanie), Robert (Lacey), Steve and William. Diane was a wonderful grandma to Kaspian, Paisley, J. Nathan, Matthew, Christopher, Wyatt, Georgianna, Alex, Bailey Jo, Allisyum, Amarah, Molly and Max. Diane was thrilled to be a great grandma to Brooklyn, Osiris and one on the way!
Diane had many other kids that she and Alan loved including Evan, Lori, Tanner, Kaden, Kyler and Aliah; Tori, Kevin and their children, and many, many more!
There will be a memorial service at 4 p.m. July 6, 2024, at her son Robert Dibble's home.
