Oregon man pleads not guilty to sexual assault of minor
A man from Salem, Ore., is accused of inappropriate contact with a minor. Tyler Davis Booze, 29, entered a plea of not guilty in Polson District Court June 20 to felony sexual abuse of children.
According to court records, on June 9, a deputy with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a possible sexual assault in the Dayton area. The reporting party indicated that Booze was staying on his father’s property and sleeping in a tent in the backyard, which is where the alleged incident occurred.
Judge John A. Mercer set a trial date of Oct. 28. Booze remains at liberty after posting a $25,000 bond.
