Ninepipes hosts inaugural Easter egg hunt and bazaar
Sunday’s surprise snow around Ninepipes Lodge was dotted with brightly colored Easter eggs, and children in hats, mittens, and warm boots hunting for them.
Divided into ages 1-6 and 7-12, the hunt began at 11 a.m., and ended at about 11:02. with all the candy-filled eggs in the hands of youngsters.
Christy Bockman who works at the lodge, coordinated the affair and even coaxed the Easter Bunny to greet participants. For a fee, EB was available for pictures with kids.
As well as Easter candy and festivities, an Easter bazaar featured a group of talented artisans in the Lodge selling Montana items.
According to Bockman, the lodge hosts five or six craft fairs and events throughout the year, but this was the first Easter soiree.
From the smiles and chocolate on kids’ faces, it appears to have been a popular debut.
