Delaney tops at Top Ten
Polson Freshman Morgan Delaney placed first in the girls 3,200-meter run at the Top Ten Meet in Missoula on Tuesday, April 23. Delaney was the top finisher, posting a personal best 11:23.21.
Her teammate, Kellyn Nelson, was ninth in the pole vault with a mark of 9-6.
On the boys’ side, Polson’s Astin Brown was eighth in the shot put with a heave of 49-3.5. Charlo’s Ryan Sharbono was ninth in the discus with a mark of 139-06 and Ronan’s Connor Durglo was seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 42-2.

Ronan and Alree shine at Big Sky quad
Ronan and Arlee placed several at the podium at the Big Sky Quad on Friday, April 26, including a first-place finish by Lailee Hewankorn in the shot put with a heave of 32.2. Arlee’s Adalyn Jacobson won the javelin throw for the girls with a throw of 99-05.
On the boys’ side, Jacob Piapot for Ronan placed third in the 400-meter run (54.69) and second in the 800-meter run (2:06.40). Teammate Tayen Edmo was second in the 3,200 (10:47.06), followed by Benjamin Running Rabbit in third (10:47.82).
Charlo’s Hayden Smith was third in the 1,600-meter run (4:51.80), while William Normandeau was fifth (4:57.32). In the 110-meter hurdles, Blyth Bolman was fourth (16.83) and his teammate Jhett McDonald was third in the 300-hurdles (45.22).
In the relays, Ronan was second in the 4x100 (46.19) and 4x400 (3:36.43), while Charlo was fifth in the 4x100 (47.80) and third in the 4x400 (3:55.27).
In the throws, Charlo’s Jacob Tomlin was third in the shot put (42.-4.25) and Arlee’s Jake Knoll was fifth (40-6). Charlo’s Ryan Sharbono was third in the discus (124-2) while Ronan’s Masyn Wayman was fourth (121-09). Charlo’s Connor Nittinger was third in the javelin (129-7).
In the high jump, Arlee’s Matthew Johnson was third (5-6) while his teammate Keelan DuPuis was fifth (5-4). Ronan’s Kolby Finley was second in the pole vault (12-0) while fellow Chief Wade Qualtier was second in the long jump (19-8.25).
On the girls’ side, Arlee’s Adalyn Jacobson was third in the 100-meter run (14.17) and second in the 200-meter run (29.10). Charlo’s Aida Code was second in the 400-meter run (1:04.89). Cote also placed second in the discus (107-08).
Arlee’s Anola Naugle was third in the 800 (2:40.86) and Ronan’s Maddie Duffey was fourth (3:00.51). Fellow Maiden Annie Adams was third in the 1,600-meter run (6:34.37).
Adams was also fourth in the 300-meter hurdles (57.12). Ronan’s Maddy Illig was second in the high jump (4-6).

Polson does well at ARM Invite
The Polson girls tied for third at the ARM Invite in Whitefish on Saturday, April 27, while the boys took fourth.
Morgan Delaney, only a freshman for Polson, won the 1,600-meter run (5:25.39), and placed second in the 800-meter run (2:30.35).
Amelia Stene took third in the 200-meter run (27.86) and fourth in the 100-meter run (13.20). Stene also took second in the long jump (15-9).
On the boys’ side, Polson’s Astin Brown won the shot put with a throw of 52-07.5; while Mission’s Rhain Gonzalez won the long jump with a mark of 20-09.75.
Polson’s David DiGiallonardo was second in the 800 (2:03.93) and second in the 1,600-meter run (4:37.94). Teammate Jackson Bontadelli was second in the 3,200-meter run (10:50.10).
Astin Brown was also third in the discus (131-03), while Mission’s Rhain Gonzalez was fourth in the high jump (5-08).
