Polson Baseball stifles Butte 5-1

Butte was held to one hit by the pitching of Espn Fisher as Polson picked up a 5-1 victory over their foe on Wednesday, April 24. Fisher also helped his own cause with two hits in the process.

Save for one run in the top of the second, Butte was held off the scoreboard as Fisher pitched five innings and struck out four. Cole Wadsworth pitched the final two innings, striking out four and giving up zero hits.

Polson scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth off a two-run double by Aiden Gfroerer. The Pirates would add two more runs in the fifth and an insurance run in the sixth.

Polson finished with eight hits, including two by Landon Pablo. Holden Emerson had an RBI as well.

Chiefs power past Thompson Falls/Noxon 

The Ronan offense collected 13 hits on its way to a 20-6 West Division victory over Thompson Falls/Noxon on Tuesday, April 23. Ben Mitchell had three hits and four RBI in the matchup, while Tristan Fisher had two doubles and four RBI in the victory. Treysin Sinclair went 4-for-5 with two RBI.

Thompson Falls/Noxon was held to five hits as Ronan had Cash Atkison on the mound, who struck out six while Liam Wills finished the final two and two-thirds innings, giving up no hits and striking out four.

Ronan led 2-0 after one-and-a-half innings, before Thompson Falls/Noxon took the 3-2 lead. The Chiefs exploded for seven runs in the fourth, two in the fifth and nine in the sixth for the victory.

Ronan falls to Frenchtown

Ronan was held to four hits in a 14-6 loss to Frenchtown on Friday, April 26. Frenchtown led 4-3 after one inning and then added four runs in the second and five in the third.

Hunter Luedtke, Everett Lozeau, Tristan Fisher and Liam Wills all had hits in the game. Wills, Kanyon Mock and Lucas Johnson also drove runs for the Chiefs in the loss.

Big fifth lifts Mission-Arlee

Trailing 5-1 in the top of the fifth, Mission-Arlee scored six runs to pick up a 7-5 West Division victory on Tuesday, April 23. Vinny Shepard picked up the pitching win, throwing the final three innings, scattering two hits and striking out four.

Chayton Bartell had two hits and two RBI in the matchup, while Brody Brown was 3-for-3 with an RBI. Sheldon McLeod, Jake Helser, Dylan Lovejoy and Jorden Johnston also drove in runs for Mission-Arlee.

Brown’s RBI came in the top of the third, as Mission-Arlee took a 1-0 lead. Troy answered back with two runs in the third and three runs in the fourth. The rest of Mission-Arlee’s offense happened two innings later, as the team would finish with six total hits.

Mission-Arlee falls to Bigfork

Bigfork used a five-run fifth inning to down Mission Arlee 7-2 in West Division baseball action on Saturday, April 27.

Pitcher Jake Helser scattered three hits over four innings, while Vinney Shepard allowed just two hits.

At the plate, Brody Brown had two hits, while Kelby Dumont also had two hits, including a double and a triple.

Mission-Alree led the game 2-1 in the top of the fifth before things started to shift, dropping the team to 3-7 on the season.
